Testimonials

"... In 2009, our family had to make the decision that we had hoped would never happen; finding the Perfect Place for our Perfect Mom.  After much searching and prayer, Mom went to live at Elternhause.  It was hard for mom at first and harder for us as a family not to have her with us every day, but, as the days went by, we saw the love and compassion for our mom, and our Mom is now settling in.  After our visits, we still cry but she smiles and waves goodbye.  We know that when we leave her each time, that our Perfect Mom will be taken care of in every way, and we know that we have found the Perfect Place for our Perfect Mom."

"My mother has been at Elternhaus for almost a year.  After a fairly brief adjustment period to being in the East instead of Arizona, she has enjoyed the wonderful care of loving health care providers.  She appreciates the lacto-ovo vegetarian meals which are not usually available at other Assisted Living facilities.  Since I work in the field of Senior Communities, I appreciate knowing she is in good hands in a Christian setting."

"We really appreciate the TLC given to our loved one by the staff and administration of the Elternhaus.  Our family member enjoys participating in various activities usch as the exercise class, games, and attending the mini-concerts held at the Elternhaus.  Her memory is failing with age.  We surely applaud the patience and kindness shown to her.  Since she can't walk or stand, equipment is availble to permit her to be mobile in a wheelchair for most of the day. Thank you, Elternhaus, for everything you do!"

"When the interviewing nurse met Mother, she asked what was the most important thing to her in life right now. She replied her sewing machine, because she liked to sew.  She was encouraged to bring that machine, and keep sewing.  Mother loved sewing and making cushions for the chairs in the Sunshine Room.  It made the transition so easy."

"We moved our Mom three times before we found this wonderful, missionary-spirited home that nourished her and made her happy and healthy."
